Our historic workshop is located in the heart of the Nantais vineyard. It has been helping to perpetuate the tradition of French knitwear for over seventy-five years.
With a park of 30 knitting machines, it brings together a team of passionate individuals with unique skills: programmers, knitters, finishers, cutters, workshop managers, seamstresses, button makers, steamers, as well as product managers, stylists, and many others.
Each person, through their expertise, contributes to the excellence of Royal Mer, ensuring authentic and timeless creations.
Because excellence thrives on specialization, we also collaborate with partner workshops near Saint-Malo as well as in Europe, in Portugal and Bulgaria. Each product is made in the workshop that best masters its specificities, depending on its expertise and area of excellence.
This choice allows us to combine artisanal know-how with impeccable quality, offering garments designed to last, in respect of traditions and the people who bring them to life.

If you are interested in craftsmanship, fashion, or simply curious to discover how our garments and accessories are made, this visit is for you.
Visiting the Royal Mer workshop is an immersive experience that plunges you into the world of fashion and textiles. You will be able to closely observe all the stages of the production process, from the design of the models to their final creation. You will also discover the different trades practiced within the company, by meeting the designers, seamstresses, pattern makers, and stylists. Beyond meeting the employees, the workshop visit will allow you to understand the importance of selecting raw materials in the quality of the garments.
How to bookyour visit?
The minimum number of participants for a workshop visit is 5 people. If you are interested in a workshop visit but are a group of fewer than 5 people, don’t worry: you can still participate. You will be integrated into other visitor groups.
