THE MADE IN FRANCE COLLAB
Combine the know-how of Royal Mer knitwear with the shell work of Friendly Frenchy and you will obtain a collection of iodized sailor tops full of freshness.
What do they have in common? Marine inspiration. Whether to create the Royal Mer knitted sweaters or the Friendly Frenchy glasses, the sea and its coastline are the key elements during design.
Created in 2016 by Sandrine and Laurent, the Friendly Frenchy brand specializes in the manufacturing of sunglasses made from shellfish and crustaceans, made in particular from biosourced, recycled and renewable natural materials. Friendly Frenchy is constantly looking for innovation to manufacture its glasses while producing responsibly and promoting French manufacturing.
Over the years, Friendly Frenchy has combined French know-how, modernity and responsibility. Elements which also have great importance at Royal Mer because they are always taken into account when designing Breton clothing.
It is therefore no surprise that the two brands bring together their two worlds to create a collaboration : Royal Mer x Friendly Frenchy . Knitted sailor sweaters featuring recycled shell details from our French coasts and more particularly from Brittany.
Added to the sailor tops, the shell buttons from Friendly Frenchy bring a wave of freshness to the Breton knitwear from Royal Mer. The brand has also taken its iconic Klasel knit sweater to transform it into Krogen (which means “shell” in Breton ) a nice nod to his partner Friendly Frenchy and the marine world that brings them together.
With this co-signed association, Royal Mer and Friendly Frenchy , who already shared a large number of values, have pooled their know-how to promote made in France and perpetuate local and sustainable production.
